My Aphrodite

why you left thy celestial abode?
was there a divine plan ,
to make you tread ,
on these mortal grounds.

are you a reward for a platter full of good deeds,
or a punishment ,
for an evil hitherto undone,
in an embodiment currently unknown.

blessed as I am ,
thy Midas touch turned my heart in gold,
but alas,
it turned you to stone.

promiscuity was thy bane,
rescinded that in your earthly embodiment,
for you my Aphrodite ,
are the epitome of faith.

words seem so trivial,
only if its you,
for they lack ,
to feel the Aphrodite in you.

Love was but a word,
You taught me its meaning,
twinkle of your eyes ,
brings shine in my life,

your love,
gives meaning to infinite,
they say it gives meaning to life,
I say its elixir of life.

twin rose petals,
entwined in full bloom,
laced with nectar,
got to taste them once and never felt honey sweet again.

her breaths ,
melts me like a candle in flame ,
like a moth you desire,
to give your tribute in life.

cascading black river,
eyebrows like scimitars,
her face, a pearl in moonlight,
and they say moon is beautiful!!!!!!

black beady eyes ,
with that ethereal shine,
splurging with love,
one loving look...get's you tippled for life.

that twisted lip line,
a streak of lightening across the skies,
incisive enough to cut to your core,
makes you yearn for more.

dewdrops falling down her locks,
placid, calm, yet so intoxicating,
you can turn aside the chalice,
for a few drops falling down her self .

her voice ,
fresh as the verdant meadows,
like the tinkle of the bells,
will force you into reverence.

that coy push of her elbows,
turns your world upside down,
you start swirling,
in a sea of ecstasy.

my heart danced with joy,
as she melted in my arms,
just a touch of her,
completed my jigsaw of love.

God must have toiled,
to get that marble skin,
on that perfect bone line,
to create another Aphrodite,
splendid yet so plain.

green must have been the eyes,
of nymphs and angels alike,
didn't they sigh in relief ?
when god repented, but had to send her on earth.

my heart beat in unison,
with her beats once,
My arms yearn to hold her tight again,
for my heart resents to beat like that again.

You are my angel,
my Venus,
my Aphrodite,
You are my world.
